Deborah Zhao, RN

Radiation Oncology Nurse

Deborah Zhao is a Radiation Oncology Nurse at San Francisco CyberKnife. Deborah received her Bachelor of Science degree in human development with double minors in biological sciences and communications from the University of California, Davis in 2010. In 2011, she began her career as a medical receptionist. She then earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in nursing in 2014 and her Family Nurse Practitioner certificate from San Francisco State University in 2018. During this time, Deborah worked as a clinic assistant, school nurse, and a registered nurse at a women’s clinic. In 2015, she began working at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in the medical-surgical orthopedic/oncology unit. She joined the San Francisco CyberKnife team in September 2018.

Deborah collaborates with the radiation oncology team to help patients navigate through their course of treatment and coordinate the appropriate pre- and post-treatment care. She enjoys interacting with the patients and the patients’ families to discuss treatment options. She loves seeing patients’ progress. Aside from her career, Deborah is an avid runner and has completed three half-marathons. She also loves working out and has a travel blog.
